Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

VoiceReminder.AI ("we") operates the voicereminder.ai website and the VoiceReminder AI app. For any questions about your data, contact us at contact@voicereminder.ai. We are the data controller within the meaning of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

2. What data we process

Account data: your email address, name (optional) and password (stored encrypted, as a hash). Your content: reminders, notes and audio recordings are stored locally, on your device — not on our servers. Audio for transcription: if you use server-side transcription, the audio file is processed transiently and deleted immediately after transcription; we do not store it. On supported phones, transcription runs entirely on-device and your audio never leaves the phone. Support messages: what you send us via the support form. Technical data: security logs (IP address, time-limited) and aggregated visit statistics (country), plus the cookies described below.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We process data to: provide the service and your account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR — performance of contract); keep the service secure and prevent abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interest); run statistics and advertising via cookies (Art. 6(1)(a) — only with your consent, given through the cookie banner).

4. Cookies

We use four categories: Necessary (site operation: session, security, language — no consent required), Preferences (remember your language/region), Statistics (Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymisation) and Marketing (Google AdSense). Statistics and Marketing are activated only if you accept them in the banner. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" (link in the site footer). We use Google Consent Mode v2: without consent, these services do not load.

5. Who else receives data

Providers we use as processors or separate controllers: Google Ireland Ltd. (Analytics, AdSense, Google sign-in), our transactional email provider (account confirmations) and our hosting provider (Hetzner Online GmbH, data centres in the EU/Germany). We do not sell your data.

6. Transfers outside the EU

Google may transfer data to the USA. Such transfers rely on the EU–US adequacy decision (EU–US Data Privacy Framework) and/or standard contractual clauses.

7. How long we keep data

Account data — until you delete your account (in the app or at voicereminder.ai/delete-account). Security logs — up to 12 months. Your cookie choice — 12 months. Your content (reminders, notes, audio) stays on your device under your full control.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and the right to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). Write to contact@voicereminder.ai. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority — in Romania: ANSPDCP (dataprotection.ro).

9. Children

The service is not directed at persons under 16; we do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy; the current version, with its update date, is always published on this page.
